IS CONCRETE UNDER WARRANTY?

Download a free guide for concrete care:

Concrete Wall

Goodcrete Inc. in general does not offer warranty on exterior flatwork due to Idaho's extreme weather. There are many extenuating circumstances that control the outcome of the concrete. Things that are not in our control, for example; high or low temperatures, high winds or rain, road salts, chemicals, and batch plant inconsistencies.

Workmanship

Although we can't warranty the products, we can offer a limited and reasonable warranty on our workmanship- if something could have been prevented or controlled it will be repaired or fixed- often times the issue will be fixed before you even notice it had occurred.

Cracks/Spalling

We do not warranty cracks or flaking. GOODCRETE does everything to prevent this from happening. We use more control joints than our competitors, limit time spent working the concrete, use top of the line base materials, and use the best available tools in the industry.

Water Issues

We do not warranty any damage caused from water freezing beneath your concrete slab. It is your responsibility to solve a water problem. If you see that your rain gutters or sprinklers are causing a water issue it is your responsibility to divert the water or have it resolved. GOODCRETE always ensures slope and grading away from your foundation and the goal is to get water away from the concrete.

Sprinklers

GOODCRETE moves sprinklers outside of concrete. We replace heads if necessary, cap sprinklers, and test them to see if there are any leaks. If any leaks are detected GOODCRETE will resolve the issue before leaving. If we must pour concrete over sprinkler lines you will be required to sign a liability release form that states we are not responsible for damages to the concrete if a sprinkler line fails. Once GOODCRETE leaves the job it is your responsibility to contact your lawn care service to adjust heads if necessary and do final tweaks.

Ice Melt/Chemicals

We do not fix any concrete that is damaged by ice melt. Even if you do not use ice melt it can be tracked onto your driveway from your vehicle and can drip from your vehicle onto your slab. It is your responsibility to keep your concrete clear of snow and ice. Concrete safe ice melts are available. We are also not responsible for spilling of chemicals in garages.

Staining/Discoloration

GOODCRETE is not liable for any flower planters/furniture/grills placed on concrete that cause staining or discoloration. We cannot guarantee matching any existing colored concrete. We can also not guarantee the color chosen for new concrete will come out as expected. The same color can vary from one bucket to the next based on age and manufacturer.

Modern Concrete

Have you ever wondered why the concrete you had poured in 1972 looks better than your modern concrete? That's because the concrete industry suffered immensely during Covid. They are using a tremendous amount of fillers in the concrete and government oversight is trying to limit the carbon footprint in the industry. The cement is always changing and therefore, we can not warranty the batch of concrete. If you suspect there was an issue with the batch it is your responsibility to contact the batch plant.
